Owning a swimming pool entails cleaning maintenance. After all, you'd want a safe place to swim in whenever you feel like it, right? But paying swimming pool cleaning services to do this on a weekly basis can take a toll on your budget.
At the very least, swimming pool owners should have knowledge of cleaning some of the supplies and equipment often used for the pool. Wouldn't it be great if you can clean your swimming pool filter all by yourself and not have to pay someone else to do it every time it needs cleaning?
Most small pools today use the cartridge type swimming pool filter, so that's what we're gonna discuss in this post. First, you have to remove it from the pump-filter assembly. rinse off the loose dirt from it then allow the cartridge to dry out. Then, tap the cartridge to completely remove loose particles.
Next, you should soak it in a cartridge cleaner. One day soaking is good, but three to five days would be better. After soaking, rinse thoroughly then allow to dry. That's basically it! You can now reuse your old swimming pool filter cartridge. |
